Vision Builders is the annual campaign of C3 Church Devonport which serves as a sacred opportunity for individuals and families to give toward a lasting Legacy—becoming faithful stewards and wise investors in this site God has called us to.

This year our Vision Builders theme is “Legacy” – a chance to look beyond ourselves and continue to build into the future for the generations to come.

To understand more about Vision Builders take some time to read the stories of those from within the community of C3, featured throughout this booklet.

C3 Church Devonport is part of a much wider legacy than we can see.

Below you will read and hear stories from people who because of the example of their grandparents and/or parents they have taken on living as disciples of Jesus who give to Vision Builders – they in turn have experienced God bless them – to be a blessing.

This is the legacy – that life-giving disciples are made who live to be a blessing to the many across the coast, that others might choose Jesus too.

And God has adopted us into the legacy of sacrifice of those who first built these buildings in which we meet – that their sacrifice has been honoured as this site we sow into continues to serve God’s kingdom purposes.

  • Growing up in two different styles of church, the idea of a building fund wasn’t something that we saw eye-to-eye on immediately.

    After some discussion we decided that together we wanted to make a small sacrifice financially to support the bigger mission of His church - so we made a vision builders pledge together. Not only have we been beyond blessed since then, but we know that our generosity now (even though it can feel mere) will bless the church both immediately and in time. He blesses and multiplies our offerings and we’ve seen this first-hand over the years, as we can now harvest the fruit of those who were generous before us.

  • I give to vision builders because I get to. I may not be someone who gets to contribute to the church by leading worship or sharing a message but I can sow into the church by giving.

    I have been giving to Vision Builders since I was in primary school following the example my parents set for me. Growing up I’ve also done my tithes, starting off with grandpop (Sparra) giving me his loose change each week that I got to put in and be part of the giving. My grandparents are some of the most generous people I know, and by their generosity to me, I learnt the importance of giving to others and the church. When I started getting pocket money (that I wasn’t wasting on toys) I started giving to Vision Builders and I’ve been giving ever since.

  • Time and time again in our lives we have seen God move in incredible ways because of our tithing.

    We have always made tithing the first part of our budget and despite at times having so little income that there is no way we can make ends meet, we have always had enough. Even in the toughest times we have given some little extra to Vision Builders. This started in our previous church in Canberra and we have never hesitated with supporting the vision of the leadership of C3 Devonport. We were made to worship God. By giving our tithes and a little extra, we put Him first and pursue growth in His Kingdom. What is more important than seeing someone rescued to an eternity with God?

  • Growing up my parents always put the Lord first in every circumstance and gave money to tithes and Vision Builders even when it was hard.

    Watching there persistence in chasing after the Lord has continually encouraged me to always put God first and to give money to support the church whose primary goal is to see the lives of Devonport saved and on fire for Christ.
