I always thought I needed to work 4 days to get ahead. Instead of relying on God to provide for me, I tried to do it in my own strength. But one day I was talking to God on the way to work, I asked Him “God we have been giving to building fund for years. Where is our blessing? You say in Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” And I left it at that. But God prompted me to talk to Glenn to rearrange our finances and about how we needed to save, so I opened a new savings account. Since we have done that we had enough to go to conference in Singapore in 2023, buy Caleb’s car off him and buy Glenn’s forever drum kit. I have also been blessed with several gift cards and we are still saving it’s like God has opened the floodgates. We are not rich in money but we have been blessed so much in the last 2 years as we have applied wisdom to our finances. Now I can only work 3 days due to my health and Glenn has dropped a day too. But God is continuing to bless us.

What I love about Vision Builders is that it is an opportunity to stretch my faith, and it builds on my ability to trust in God’s provision. Over the years I have consistently seen God move in my life and provide in ways that I often didn’t even realise until looking back at it afterwards. During the past year, I have been incredibly blessed to be able to purchase my first home, which has only increased my need to trust in God’s continued provision.

I began contributing to Vision Builders at its inception, although financial constraints initially hindered my ability to complete it. Nevertheless, I made certain to complete it the following year, driven by my desire to obey God and trust in His promises. In my experience, giving beyond tithes and contributing to vision building is akin to stewarding God's plans, and He, in turn, blesses me abundantly, allowing me to experience the glory of His goodness. I am humbled by His ongoing favour and grace towards my family, which is truly without end.

as the condition is usually expected to worsen rather than improve. Partway through last year, I went to C3 Church with a friend and went forward for prayer. Although I initially sought emotional healing, I found myself asking for healing for my white blood cell count. During prayer, I felt a strong heat and warmth radiate through my body, followed by a deep sense of rest I hadn’t felt in years. I knew something had changed. Soon after, my blood tests returned to the normal range for the first time since my diagnosis. My haematologist said this was not the pattern they would expect with MDS. Subsequent tests remained normal, and my GP said I could be considered in remission if this continued, adding that she couldn’t explain it. I believe I can. I believe God healed me that day. And beyond the physical change, the fear and anxiety I had carried for years lifted. Today, I am profoundly grateful, and I can only praise God for what He has done.
